What does the Pay-As-You-Use insurance have?

It offers a much fairer and more economical insurance in which the customer pays for only what he uses, with premium covers, all managed through the most advanced M2M (machine to machine) technology. It’s fair, isn’t it?

Why an insurance which gives you back what you have not consumed?

Because it is the only insurance in which you decide when and how much you consume and what you do not consume, you do not lose. It is the insurance intended for those who think about what they are buying, without adjustments or tricks: what you pay at the beginning is all that you are going to pay, not a single cent more. What is Next?

“Next” is an insurance broker, authorized by the General Directorate of Insurance and Pensions (Dirección General de Seguros y Fondos de Pensiones) under the authorization code J-3110. It has the backing of several insurance companies to underwrite the risks in which it operates.

At whom is the Pay-As-You-Use insurance aimed?

Rational drivers who are good drivers and have no claims. Drivers looking for a fair insurance but one that offers the best guarantees and services. We want to give you back in price, the less risk you have. Here are some examples:
“I have another car and I only use it for travel on rare occasions”.
“I am abroad, so I will not have much use for the car”.
“I have a company car, and I barely use my own car”.
“I only use it on weekends”.
“I have it parked in the place where I vacation and I only use it when I am there.”

How is the Pay-As-You-Use car insurance designed?

It is designed in two layers: On the one hand, what is called the Mandatory Third Party Liability, the Comprehensive Third Party Liability and Roadside Assistance. On the other, it insures you for other covers that you have taken out for the amount of kilometres.
The basic layer is a temporary insurance, and the other guarantees are based on the use of kilometres.
When it is time to renew the policy, if you have kilometres left over, they are returned to you since they are yours. It’s fair, isn’t it?

How do I sign up to Next Auto?

Through the web. We also have a call centre to attend to all your needs and answer queries. Call us at 902 88 88 04 or 91 789 53 40. Telephone assistance working hours M – F: from 9:00 to 20:00.

When does the policy come into effect?

From the moment you sign up online.

How do I receive the policy?

When you sign up, you will receive all the insurance documentation by email and all you have to do is print it out and keep it always in your vehicle. It’s that simple.

When does my policy expire?

The insurance policy ends on the due date (see expiry date), although as you know, the kilometres that you have not consumed will not be lost if you renew your policy with us. In a conventional policy, it expires on the due date.

What covers does it include?

We have all covers possible. From Third Party to Full Comprehensive. You decide.

I am interested in taking out a NEXT product, but I have a few months left of insurance cover with my present underwriter. What do I do not to lose those months?

We can, in your name, arrange the changeover from your insurance company without any loss of benefits to you or money on your present insurance. We are conscious of the value of things and therefore, we will arrange the changeover so that you can dedicate yourself to what has greater value: to enjoy what you have bought.

How do I know the number of kilometres I drive? How is it monitored?

We do it through the Next2Go device that we have designed and which is inserted into your vehicle. This device do not monitor you. It only measures the number of kilometres you consume and allows us to know if you are at the limit or have exceeded it.

How do I know the number of kilometres I do a year as I have never calculated it before?

Don’t worry. On the web, we have put a calculator to help you calculate the amount of kilometres you routinely do in a year. You can also call us at telephones 902 88 88 04 or 91 789 53 40, during our telephone assistance working times from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 20:00. We simply want to help you to make a purchase that is fair, suitable and safe.

How many kilometres can I buy?

Initially, you can buy a minimum of 4000 km and a maximum of 10000 km. During the useful life of your insurance, you can purchase ‘more kilometres’ if you have already consumed the maximum you bought when you took out your policy.

Can I buy a conventional car insurance?

What happens if I consume all the kilometres that I had bought?

You will need to buy more kilometres in order not to remain only with a minimum guaranteed cover.

What happens if I do not consume all the kilometres that I had bought?

As you know, the amount that is not consumed will be returned to you at the renewal time. It’s fair, isn’t it?

What happens if I have no more kilometres left and I do not buy more?

You will remain with just the basic Obligatory Responsibility Insurance (RCO), with the Voluntary Responsibility Insurance (RCV) and Roadside Assistance.

Why do we have to insert the device in the vehicle?

It is a device that we have designed to help you to monitor the number of kilometres you do. We do not want to install anything in your vehicle that you can’t see. We want to be totally transparent and therefore, we send you the Next2Go device so that you can plug it in yourself.

What happens if I do not know how to insert the device in my vehicle?

We will send you a guide on where and how to plug it into your vehicle. If you cannot locate the socket in the car, you can always go to your trusted car mechanic garage so that they can help you do it in no more than 3 seconds and so they should not charge you anything. In addition, we have created a tutorial video that you can download to help you.

How much does the Next2Go cost?

There is no additional cost for the Next2Go. It is one more element included in the policy that you have taken out.

How much do maintenance and yearly communications on the device cost?

There is no additional cost for the maintenance and yearly communications on the Next2Go device. It is one more element included in the policy that you have taken out.

With the device, will I be monitored all the time?

No. The system we have created, which is called the M2M (machine to machine), is intended to help you monitor your mileage (the number of kilometres you use) and not to monitor you. This device does not send information on your position.

What happens if I disconnect the Next2Go device?

We will receive an alert and if it is not about a maintenance issue on your car, then we will inform you that you will only be covered for the Basic Obligatory Insurance (RCO), the Voluntary Civil Responsibility (RCV) and Roadside Assistance.

What happens if I do not connect the Next2Go device for the first time?

Our system will inform us if you have received the Next2Go device, and if you have not installed it. Then, the cover for kilometres would not come into effect, and only the Mandatory Civil Responsibility Insurance, (RCO), the Voluntary Civil Responsibility (RCV) and Roadside Assistance would apply.

What happens if I install the device in another car which is not mine?

Then, we will receive an alert and we will contact you to verify the anomaly. If it is not rectified, then you will only be covered for the Basic Obligatory Insurance (RCO), the Voluntary Civil Responsibility (RCV) and Roadside Assistance.

Can the device be damaged?

The device has undergone certification and approval testing, and has passed the most demanding standards in the car industry. In the unlikely event that it occurs, we would replace the product.

What happens if I have to take the vehicle in to the garage and they disconnect the Next2Go device?

You will have to disconnect it and remember to insert it again to allow us to continue recording your mileage and you to enjoy all the cover.

What happens if I cannot access my account to see the kilometres I have bought and the amount I have left?

It may be a fault in the access to the network. The best thing to do is to carry out ordinary routine checks and in this case, contact our call centre so that we can help. Our telephones are: 902 88 88 04 or 91 789 53 40.
If you are using your personal access through our APP, we suggest you re-start your terminal (switching off and switching it back on a few seconds later).

Does Next Seguros have a network of garages where I can take the car if it is necessary?

Next Seguros has the support of a network of garages for our Comprehensive policy holders. We rely on them to resolve these problems so that you can enjoy a Premium product at fantastic prices from the start.

If I travel abroad with the car, will the insurance cover me?

Of course. You are insured anywhere in the European Union. Consult the General and Specific Conditions in your policy.

What insurance papers should I carry in the car?

Always carry your insurance policy along with your last receipt.

In the event of an accident, what must I do if the other vehicle is not insured?

Don’t worry. You report it to us (remember to take all the details you can about the accident) and we will coordinate the service.

What do I have to do if I need a tow truck?

You only have to call our Claims telephone where we will be pleased to assist you. We remind you that, to notify us of a claim or ask for assistance, our telephone is 902 88 88 05. If you call us from abroad (outside of Spain), it is: +34 91 789 53 41.

If I have been fined, will you guarantee me legal assistance?

It depends on the guarantees for which you have been insured. Review the specific conditions on your policy, since according to what cover you have taken out, you may or may not have this service. If your have not renewed your premium or have consumed all the kilometres you have paid for, you will not have legal assistance.

What happens if my car is stolen?

What you must do, in this order, is to report the incident (to the police) immediately and then notify us urgently of this circumstance.

How can I claim for an incident?

Call us and we will help you in this procedure.

In the event of an accident, what must I do if the other vehicle is not insured?

Don’t worry. You report it to us (remember to take all the details you can about the accident) and we will coordinate the service.

How can I report a claim?

Call us on the telephone that is indicated in the documentation we have sent you and report the incident. We remind you that the telephone number is 902 88 88 05.

How can I cancel the insurance?

It’s very simple. Call us and we will help you in this procedure.

What happens to the device when I cancel my Next insurance?

We will contact you so that, once your insurance comes to an end, if you do not want to continue with us, you can return it to us. To do so, we will propose a collection point, without any cost to you, or a courier service to collect it from the address you indicate.
If after 15 days, you have not returned the device to us, we will charge 200€ to your bank account or credit card for the cost of the Next2Go device, as you have agreed on the Conditions of the Insurance contract.
